Now that you've stocked your desk with playful paperclips, we're continuing our WFH edition of our Work It series with L.A. boutique Poketo, one of our favorite sources for design-driven goods. Founded by married creatives Angie Myung and Ted Vadakan, the homegrown company began as a line of vinyl wallets featuring original designs from the duo's artist friends and grew to collaborations with Target, Nike, Arcade Fire, and Beyond Yoga (to name a few).
These days, Poketo stocks more than just its own line of chic stationery and office supplies— at its locations in Little Tokyo, Row DTLA, Culver City's Platform, and Koreatown's The Line Hotel, you can pick up clothing, home decor, accessories, and much more. Although the brand has temporarily closed its stores, you can shop its cool inventory online and via Platform's drive-through.
Here, we quickly caught up with Myung (who is also Poketo's chief creative officer) to find out her top product recommendations for staying productive and organized at home and beyond. Read on below for her favorites along with our own picks, and don't forget to use the code WFH2020 for 25% off all stationery through April 22.
Myung says: "My favorite work from the home tool is Accordion Pro Filer. It's a great time to get organized. With 12 pockets, all the magazine cutouts and other inspiring images from the past can be filed here under different categories to help in designing future collections."
Myung says: "As our HQ and creative team are working, this Project Wall Planner comes in handy for me to check in during our calls and see where they are and whether they are meeting the goals."
Myung also loves these poster-like monthly calendars, which bring a pop of color (and a sense of accomplishment!) to any wall.
For productivity on the go, this notebook contains pages that will help you organize your projects into bite-sized goals.
If your home office (or the rest of your living quarters) are in need of a brain juice-boosting refresh, then pick up Myung and Vadakan's first book and get inspired by the colorful abodes and workspaces their favorite creatives.
Another hand-picked item from Myung, these charming covers will turn any vessel (even if it's just your drinking glass) into a stylish vase.
We're taking this time to (finally) catch up on our reading list, and we like to imagine this brass bookmark high-fiving us every time we turn the page.
Your home cubicle doesn't have to be boring. This acrylic desk set will have you seeing clearly — or at the very least, they'll make finding that buried to-do list much easier.
If you, like us, have a drawer filled with those free promotional notepads, allow this museum-worthy block to bring a little more joy to your note-jotting.
We might be physically distant from our favorite people, but snail mail always manages to make us seem closer. (Plus, a handwritten letter still feels more personal than email.) This foldable letter set reminds us of our elementary school note-passing days.
